| Let's have a thread (this one) in which we copy and paste the most moronic statements from fundies that we see in a day or week or so. I'll post the next one I see. | |

| I'm sure we'll get loads of material from there, to be sure, but I meant from anywhere.
Today on "The View" the discussion was about the McCain attack ad accusing Obama of voting for comprehensive sex education for kindergartners. That is a direct lie. The legislation was about teaching young children about how to be safe from pedophiles.
Elisabeth Hasselbeck, the token fundie, defended the indefensible ad by saying that because the legislation allowed teachers to answer questions (as they see fit) about where babies come from if they come up in class, then that is technically allowing the teaching of comprehensive sex ed to kindergartners.

| What the crazy fuck is wrong with a teacher answering the question "where do babies come from?" This isn't a philosophical question, it isn't a moral question, they're not asking "TEACHER, IS IT OKAY IF I FUCK SUZIE ON THE PLAYGROUND?" Babies come from sex. Since anti-choice people seem so convinced that no one is aware of this fact, you'd think that they'd be happy to start the education younger.
I honestly don't know whether to be more disturbed by the fact that they don't think kids deserve honest answers, or that they think the only way to answer that question is with a clip from pornography.

| I don't think Kelly Pickler is a fundie. The only thing I know about her is that she's friends with Taylor Swift, who was in a PSA speaking out against homophobia. And who is my new celebrity girlfriend, LOL. | |

Thats a better way to say it. - xenatinger wrote:

I love my wife the same as I love my children I love my faith more though. And to do what my God wants me to do is what I would do. I don't kill any any fashion, I would not be Killing my wife I would be letting her Die. There is a big difference. I just would not have told her that if thats what she wished.
Again ... WHY is this psychopath not locked up? And as I said before somewhere else: if you are willing to die for a fetus or for your religion, then you don't fucking love your ACTUAL kids. There's no other way around it.

| More on the "ONCE IT IS NOT A MARRIED MAN AND A WOMAN, IT'S NOT A GOOD, HEALTHY FAMILY, IT IS WRONG, EVIL AND HARMFUL!" note. - Quote :
- A singer named Clay Aiken was on Good Morning America with Diane Sawyer to announce that he is gay. Then it got really weird; he explained his little family. Clay had a baby boy with his long-time live-in friend (a woman). He claimed it was done artificially....yeah, sure Clay, whatever you say. Clay said they all loved each other very much. He said one day his friend (the baby's mother) would find someone and he himself would find another person. However, their priority is the little baby boy. When asked who decided what was best for the baby Clay said whoever is loud. The baby's future is open-ended. Is this weird, or what? I think Clay and his live in long-time friend (can't use the term girlfriend, the Press didn't) are bad people. A legally binding marriage contract between a man and woman is best for children and building families.
