| When did we, the middle and lower class, become the bailout buddies of people whose bathtubs cost more then we make in a year? This is socialism, real socialism not that hyped up crap people spew about political canidates. Do you know WHY wall street is in dire financial straights? Because we bailed their asses out in 1989! Wall street learned they don't have to be responsible because Big Brother will come bail them out. Bush Sr. taught them to be irresponsible and now Bush Jr. wants to follow daddy's footsteps. Well people if I have more debt then I have income I am going to start losing property and services.. why not wall street? It doesn't take a genius to figure out if you spend more then you take in things won't work out. What the bigwigs of wall street need is some down home lessons on budgeting most of us were taught in our middle and low income households. | |

| I'm so massively torn on this. On the one hand, I would love to watch the greedy bastards crumble to the ground while laughing uproariously, and maybe the less wealthy people who suffer will pull their heads out of their asses and stop voting against their own interests so they can "get" the homos and sluts. On the other hand, I would not like people to lose their homes and starve in the streets (because somehow, the Republicans are managing to push this EW TAXES EW SOCIAL SERVICES bullshit even in the mess we're in) because people need to Learn a Lesson. | |

| What wall street needs is a dose of grass roots economics. I have only so much money, if I spend more then I have I start losing things like cable, t.v., computer, phone ect. Wall street needs to remember what budgeting is and those CEO's ought to be placed in a low income household for a month or so to relearn how people live. We went through this in 1988 - 1989 where the S&L got a government bailout and it is from that and previous bailouts that the fat cats on wall street learned they don't have to be responsible the can just save thier overinflated compensation packaged by yanking it right out of my low middle class check. | |
